We're Hiring: Coffee Roastery & Sales Assistant
Location: Degani Coffee Roastery - Moorabbin Victoria
Start: Approx. 2 weeks.
Salary: $27.00–$32.00/hr (based on experience)

At Degani Coffee, we’re passionate about crafting quality coffee and supporting our growing network of cafés. We’re looking for a hands-on Roastery Assistant to join our team — someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in quality, and has a genuine interest in coffee.

This is a casual role with a rotating 2-week roster, working closely with our Head Roaster and small, tight-knit team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Picking and packing coffee orders with care and accuracy

• Delivering coffee to our café partners (manual driver’s licence required)

• Supporting the day-to-day operations of the roastery

• Assisting the Head Roaster with roasting tasks, including green bean handling and general maintenance

• Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient warehouse while thinking of tomorrows team

• Managing stock and warehouse organisation

• Building positive relationships with our café partners during deliveries

• Contributing to business growth by identifying and supporting new coffee opportunities where appropriate. (no hard sell — just good instincts)

What We’re Looking For:

• Manual driver’s licence – confident and reliable

• Previous experience in a roastery, warehouse, or specialty café highly regarded

• Strong work ethic with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Physically capable, organised, and detail-oriented

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn

• A team player with a great attitude and initiative

Highly regarded (but you'll get bonus points):

• Barista or specialty coffee experience with passion

• Solid coffee knowledge (dialling in, grinders, quality control, cupping)

• Experience in coffee training or education

• An interest in sales or building customer relationships within the coffee industry

• Forklift licence
