This is a multitasker hands on role for an experienced Café Manager with strong barista skills for an in-house corporate café.

The Lime Catering Group provides quality in-house employee retail cafe and function catering for our customers, their staff, and visitors. We focus on the provision of fresh food and great customer service.

We are looking for a progressive venue manager to work with, and manage, subordinate staff to ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation in the operation, ensure correct preparation and have oversight of the quality and standard of food production, controlling food costs and the day to day running of the kitchen and associated function catering requirements.

Your key responsibilities include:

To represent The Lime Catering Group in a manner that ensures the delivery of a high-quality product and service aimed to exceed client and customer expectations.

Take ownership of the venue and provide leadership to all reporting staff.

Manage the day-to-day operation of the venue ensuring that policy in all areas is maintained and that all training requirements are carried out either internally or by arrangement.

The scope of the venue comprises coordination and execution of function activity and the provision of retail café services.

Manage a team of 4 to 5 staff members

Working with the chef to deliver successful menu planning and food production

Manage stock control, including ordering and receiving

Adhering to budgeted food costs

The Candidate Has:

You will need to be able to demonstrate:

The ability to be an effective manager.

A passion for great tasting food.

Relevant trade qualifications preferably with a background in commercial cookery skills and/or Barista level coffee making.

A thorough understanding of OH&S and Food and Safety practices.

A high attention to detail with a 'hands-on' approach.

An understanding of reading and interpreting a profit and loss report.

Customer service requirement at peak service times.
