MIYAMA is a Japanese-inspired café serving specialty coffee, premium matcha, house-made food, and desserts in a calm and thoughtfully designed space. We are looking for an experienced and dependable Store Manager to lead the daily operations of the store and support the continued growth of our team and service.

This role is suited to someone who is organised, hands-on, and takes pride in maintaining high standards across service, operations, and team culture.

The Store Manager will oversee the day-to-day running of the café and will be supported by the Store Owners and Assistant Manager, working collaboratively to ensure smooth operations across all areas of the business.

The role also involves working closely with our dedicated in house kitchen and pastry team to ensure strong communication between front-of-house and back-of-house, helping maintain efficient service and the quality standards MIYAMA is known for.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the café and service floor

  • Lead and support the team during shifts to maintain smooth and efficient service

  • Manage rostering, shift coordination, and team performance

  • Maintain high standards of customer service, cleanliness, and store presentation

  • Ensure all opening and closing procedures are completed correctly

  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory organisation

  • Work closely with the baristas, FOH staff, kitchen and pastry chefs to ensure clear communication during service

  • Support staff training and maintain operational procedures and service standards

  • Work collaboratively with the Store Owners and Assistant Manager to maintain consistent store performance

About You

  • Previous experience in hospitality or café management

  • Confident leading a team in a busy service environment

  • Strong organisational and communication skills

  • Able to problem-solve and make clear decisions during service

  • Professional, reliable, and supportive of a positive team culture

  • Comfortable being hands-on across coffee, service, and floor operations when required
