We are seeking a highly experienced Barista to take charge of our coffee station at our newest Saint Haven club in Toorak.

The Position

Probably the most loved team member in the club, you will brighten everyone's day with your exceptional coffee and beverage making skills, with your warm, positive, engaging and professional manner. You will be exceptional at creating meaningful relationships with our members, knowing their regular orders and anticipating their needs. 

As a member of the esteemed Front of House team, you will be responsible for taking orders, barista services, and making smoothies, whilst also conducting floor service, cleaning and general administration duties as needed. 

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Crafting incredible coffee, tea, matcha, smoothies, and other beverages of choice

• Keeping a professional, engaging, and poised demeanor with all members, guests and team mates

• Educating members and guests around the food and beverage offerings

• Educating members on the broad array of Saint Haven products and services in club, to inspire members to become even more vital and well

• Deeply connecting with members, understanding their preferences and anticipating their needs

• Working through daily checklists to ensure all areas of responsibility are pristine, clean and meet our excellence standards

• Developing cohesive working relationships with your teammates and peers

• Supporting the cafe and kitchen team with tasks as required

• Completing opening and closing tasks

The Successful Candidate

• You understand and are passionate about the beautiful art of coffee and drink creation

• You have significant experience in the hospitality industry, ideally in fine-dining restaurants/busy cafes

• You have a personal interest in health and wellness 

• You have a genuine willingness to learn and stay up to date with the latest in health and wellbeing trends and Saint Haven offerings

• You are people focused - you are genuine, honest and operate with integrity. 

• You thrive on watching your team mates succeed and develop their skills and experience 

• You are self-assured, patient, listen intently, speak clearly, and are comfortable communicating at all levels

• You are driven, perceptive, ask questions and always strive to understand the bigger picture 

• You must be open to working early mornings, evenings and weekends
