bis Melbourne Hotel & Apartments is looking for a Kitchen Hand to join this ever thriving and exciting environment! Ibis Melbourne Hotel & Apartments is a 250 room Hotel including Apartments with a lively Restaurant and three Conference spaces located near the vibrant Melbourne CBD and Queen Victoria Markets.

Job Description

• Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment whilst ensuring a product of high quality and presentation standards.  
• Operate dishwasher.
• Have stock control procedures implemented and maintained. Assist Chefs with food preparation and storage of deliveries. 
• Keep all working areas clean and tidy.  Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned.  Report any problems to the Executive Chef.
• Organise an assigned section and ensure it runs efficiently and productively. 
• Monitor daily kitchen cleaning schedule and advise the supervisor of these well in advance.
• Assist and liaise with chef on duty as required.

Qualifications

• Valid Food Handler’s Certificate.
• Have an enthusiastic "can-do" attitude and a positive and motivated demeanour. 
• Flexible availability to accommodate various shifts, including mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
