About the role
We are currently looking for experienced and enthusiastic Retail kiosk and cafe professionals that are as comfortable providing table service as they are making a martini or recommending a bottle of wine, here at MCEC, we pride ourselves on our friendly and professional service.
If you have experience in any of the following, we want to talk to you:
- Barista (multiple positions)
- Restaurant and/or café table service
- Cocktail making
- Bartending
- Wine knowledge
- Hosting
- POS and cash register experience
- Wine emotion systems experience
- Understanding of food allergens and dietaries
About you
You’ll be reliable, punctual and have a positive attitude towards work. We’re looking for people who thrive on being part of and contributing to a team and who want to help us create amazing experiences for our customers. You will need a valid RSA certificate, be physically fit and have a background in fast paced, high-volume environments.
You’ll also need:
- To be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Available to work 4 days across 7-day roster
- Have valid working rights in Australia.
- High level of personal presentation and grooming
- Excellent work ethic – Reliable, punctual, positive attitude, resilient
- Thrive on being part of and contributing to a high performing team.
- Able to provide a high level of customer service.
- Prepare and pack down event space - e.g., handling furniture or stock (not limited to)
- Physically fit – we have a large venue that you will need to walk around and at times you can be lifting/moving items.
Desirable
- Previous bartending experience
- Basic food preparation skills
- Previous POS experience
- Food Handling Certificate
- Previous experience working in a large entertainment venue
Essential
- Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA)
Dates:
Interview: 19th January 2026
Induction/Training: 27th January 2026
Shift times
Shifts will typically be either:
- Day shifts – with early morning start times (some shifts may start very early depending on the event we are catering to eg: Gala Breakfast).
- Afternoon shifts – starting later in the day and finishing in the evening including late night finish.
You should expect to be rostered onto shifts during the week and on weekends.
