Barista / Cafe All Rounder

About the role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Barista / Cafe All Rounder to join our team at Bakehouse On Bay' in Port Melbourne. This is a casual position (possibility to convert to permanent full time or permanent part time), offering flexible hours and the opportunity to work in a vibrant cafe environment. As a Barista / Cafe All Rounder, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality coffee drinks, serving customers, and assisting with various cafe duties to ensure a seamless customer experience.

What you'll be doing

1. Preparing and serving coffee drinks to customers

2. Providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere

3. Assisting with food preparation, counter service and other cafe duties as required

4. Ensuring the cafe is well-stocked, clean, and organized at all times

5. Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience as a barista or in a similar cafe or hospitality role

2. Minimum of 1+ years barista experience is essential for this position

3. Basic food preparation and making fresh sandwiches

4. Excellent customer service and communication skills

5. Reliable, punctual and consistent full-time availability

6. A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to providing high-quality service

Candidates must have full Australian work rights as this is a requirement for the position.
