Cosy Richmond cafe seeking casual Barista/all-rounder

Silvs on Kennedy cafe/ wine bar in Richmond is seeking a casual Barista/ all-rounder for 2-3 days per week (15-25 hours).

We are a cosy cafe/ wine bar on the backstreets of Richmond, about 5 minutes away from Burnley station. We serve Industry Beans coffee, grab-and-go classics, and European-influenced brunches. Our opening hours are 7am-3pm on weekdays, 8am-3pm on weekends, and are open nights on thursdays, fridays and saturdays.

The Role:

Brew espresso coffee to a specialty coffee standard. You’ll be working on a San Remo F18, with a Mahlkonig E65s GBW & EK43 grinder,and an AutoPress.

Prepare other beverages, including milkshakes, juices and smoothies.

Basic food prep including toasting sandwiches.

Supporting the other staff by taking orders, running food, washing dishes & clearing tables when required.

General cleaning duties, including opening & closing procedures.

Maintaining relationships with our regular customers by being friendly & welcoming.

Adhere to all food safety, hygiene and health regulations.

You:

Specialty coffee experience, including adjusting the coffee grinder, weighing and timing shots, and basic latte art.

Are able to work at least 2 days a week, including the occasional saturday.

Friendly & engaging, and able to build and maintain relationships with our regular clientele.

Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and good teamwork.

Flexible, and comfortable jumping off the machine to assist with bussing food & drinks, basic food prep, cleaning etc.

Reliable and on-time to shifts.

Maintains high standards under pressure.

Strong written and verbal english skills.
